Eclipse solar glasses are getting scarce

Posted 7:26PM on Wednesday 16th August 2017 ( 6 years ago )

Approved solar eclipse viewing glasses are getting tough to find in Northeast Georgia.

At least three Kroger locations in Gwinnett and Hall Counties say they are out of the glasses and will not be getting any more in stock.

One woman at the E.E. Butler Parkway Kroger says she ordered her glasses weeks ago and it ready for the eclipse.

The City of Cornelia is out of the glasses and the glasses they already sold have been recalled.

A popular location to get the glasses was public libraries. However, both Gwinnett County and Hall County library systems report they are also out of the glasses.

Gwinnett County is planning to get another shipment.

If you plan to order online, hurry to guarantee you have the glasses in hand in time for the Monday eclipse.
