A contract has been awarded for the long-planned Martin Road Interchange on I-985 near Flowery Branch.
Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Katie Strickland says the $34 million award was approved last week. It had been deferred in June "due to permit issues," Strickland added.
The award went to G.P.'s Enterprises Inc. The contract calls for the project to be completed by August 31, 2019.
