When Millie's Drapery & Decorating was destroyed by fire the morning of August 9, 2016, owner John Kinsey vowed he would rebuild.

Exactly one year later, the longtime Gainesville business opened a brand new facility at the site of the old building at 1732 Cleveland Highway.

For the past year, Millie's staff has operated out of a much smaller facility on Thompson Bridge Road, managing to keep up the busy pace of reupholstery and design that they've done for nearly five decades.

AccessWDUN's Russell Brown got a sneak peak at the new store this week ahead of Wednesday afternoon's grand reopening ceremony. See the AccessWDUN Facebook page for a quick tour of the new showroom and an interview with Chris Kinsey, office manager of Millie's.
