Healan's Mill team to apply for landscape preservation grant

Posted 8:45AM on Sunday 30th July 2017 ( 6 years ago )
The Hall County Board of Commissioners has approved a grant request for funds for landscape renovations at Healan's Mill in East Hall County.

The Board last week approved a request to apply for the $3,000 grant and the equivalent funds to match from the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. Historic Landscape and Garden Grant. The Historic Landscape Preservation Grant requires the 50 percent match.

If approved, the grant money would help the preservation team for the historic mill identify and preserve native plants growing around the mill property.

Healan's Mill is Hall County's last standing grist mill and is currently in stage two of five of a renovation and restoration project.
