The 9-year-old girl who survived a stabbing in Loganville that killed her siblings and father has told her story to state child welfare officials.

She told them her mother, Isabel Martinez, 33, who is accused of stabbing the child and others, told her she was "going to see Jesus."

The Atlanta Journal Constitution obtained the child state welfare report Wednesday, which also included an interview with Martinez. Diana Romero was interviewed on July 10.

Diana Romero said in the report that she cried and told her mother she didn't want to see Jesus.

In the report, Diana Romero said the night of the attack, everyone seemed to be asleep. She also said she saw her mother take the knife out of the kitchen and attack her siblings. She told the caseworker that her father, Martin Romero, 33, tried to stop Martinez, but was cut when he walked through the door.

Martinez did not cry or scream during the attacks, according to the report, and Romero said her mother called 911 after she cut herself. Before police arrived, Martinez placed the bodies in the same room so they could be together, the child said in the report.

The AJC reports Martinez said she is innocent, an unidentified family friend killed her family and she tried to stop him, but he cut her on the wrist.

Martinez also said in a recent family trip to Savannah she felt a "devil-like spirit" and felt the waves were trying to take her and her children away.

The newspaper said DFCS have one previous visit to the Romero-Martinez family when the father was accused of striking one of the daughters with a shoe and a phone charger when she wouldn't go to sleep; the agency said both parents admitted to disciplining the children using a belt. The agency determined there were no safety threats and closed the case.

In Romero's interview, the AJC said the girl told the caseworker about the fun she had at the beach and that her parents did not fight while they were on vacation. She also said her mother was acting normal when they came back home to Loganville.

Along with Martin Romero, Martinez is accused of killing four of her children, Axel, 2, Dillan, 4, and Dacota Romero, 7, and  Isabela Martinez, 10, on July 6.

The paper reports that on Tuesday, the attorney for Martinez said she will not undergo a psychological evaluation at this stage in her case, but could later on.
