Gainesville Theatre Alliance is one of more than 100 recipients for grants for fiscal year 2018 from the Georgia Council for the Arts.
In all, more than $1 million in funding was approved but the amount of each individual grant was not included in a press release from the Council.
Funding for operating support (Partner Grant) was awarded to 53 organizations across the state, support for arts projects (Project Grant) was awarded to 35 organizations, 23 organizations received the Arts Education Program Grant, two received Literary Art Programs funding and one was awarded funding for Traditional Arts Programs. A total of 114 grants were awarded.
Gainesville Theatre Alliance received one of the Partner Grants.
Funds awarded by Georgia Council for the Arts include appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
