A man is dead from a wreck that happened Sunday afternoon in Lumpkin County, officials confirmed Monday.
The wreck happened at 12:27 p.m. on Ga. 52 at Jay Bridge Road, according to preliminary details released Monday morning by the Georgia State Patrol.
Jody Grizzle, 46, of Dahlonega was attempting to make a left turn onto Jay Bridge Road and was hit by an oncoming motorcycle, driven by Andrew Yarbrough, 22, of Dawsonville, headed west on Ga. 52.
Yarbrough died in the wreck.
The Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident.
Officials have not said whether or not Grizzle was injured, or if he will face any charges in the case.
