The Quinlan Visual Arts Center and the Northeast Georgia History Center will team up next month to jointly host a Family Day "cultural collaboration."

At the Quinlan, artist demonstrations will include ceramics and painting, hands-on children's art “stations” with projects inspired by Northeast Georgia History Center exhibitions including Cherokee functional crafts, “ugly” jugs and the 1936 tornado. Also included, self-guided gallery tours and art scavenger hunt.

At the Northeast Georgia History Center, take a turn at the churn for home-made ice cream and experience other aspects of daily life on the frontier.  Also, a digital interactive experience where visitors can get "Q-ed Up" using green screen technology to place visitors directly in a work of art that can be found at the Quinlan.

The date is Saturday, June 3.  The time 12:00-4:00.
