A portion of Ga. 11 will close for 90 days, starting Tuesday, May 30, in Jefferson as crews replace an aging drainage structure.
Traffic will be rerouted onto 14.7-mile detour on Ga. 82 and Ga. 211 while the work is being completed, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Traffic should return to normal by August 31.
The drainage structure was built in 1938.
