Six Truett lacrosse players named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY — The Truett McConnell lacrosse team had six athletes named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete as announced by the association Friday afternoon. The Bears had the second most players named to the list behind SCAD Savannah.

Rebekah Smith, Erin Atkins, Kaitlynn Kubin, Truth Lewis, Emily Shamblin and Rachel Brown were all given the recognition of Scholar-Athlete.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
