Thanks to help from the cleaning staff, Gainesville Police arrested a burglary suspect, caught inside the Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic Pharmacy Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to the clinic at 1240 Jesse Jewell Parkway around 7:00 p.m., Sgt. Kevin Holbrook wrote in a news release.

Holbrook said the cleaning crew spotted the man in the closed, secured pharmacy, hiding behind a counter.

"It appears that somehow, some way he made entry into that area, possibly hid in that area until all workers left, and then attempted to, what we believe, to steal prescription medication from the pharmacy area," Holbrook said.

During a search, Holbrook said officers found Fabian Verduzco, 29, hiding under a table.

He's charged with burglary and criminal trespass. Verduzco remained in the Hall County Jail Wednesday morning.
