Forsyth County authorities said they found what they called large amounts of suspected drugs at the scene of a fatal overdose over the weekend.
In a Facebook post Sunday, Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies say the location had evidence of significant drug trafficking, including suspected heroin, marijuana, pills, white powder and cash.
In the evening post, deputies said the incident marked one of three drug overdoses in the county over the past 15 hours. The other two left people hospitalized in serious condition.
Investigators said the incidents could be the result of a bad batch of drugs, such as heroin or fentanyl, making their way into the county over the weekend.
"Anyone contemplating using or knowing persons addicted to such drugs should heed this warning, 'your life may be at stake,'" the post reads.
Authorities did not immediately respond to messages for further details.
