Posted 9:59AM on Tuesday 28th March 2017 ( 7 years ago )
An autopsy is planned later this week as Winder authorities seek the cause of death for a man found dead in a car at a shopping center.

Winder Police responded to the Holly Hill shopping center on West Athens Street at roughly 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

"A citizen called 911 to report that a man appeared to be sleeping inside the vehicle while it was running," Police Lt. Chris Cooper wrote in a news release.  "Upon arrival, police officers were unable to get a response from the male and it was determined at that time that the male was deceased."

Police identified the man as Todd Jackson Davis, 52, of Winder.

Authorities don't suspect foul play in the death, according to Cooper.
