Contractors with the Georgia Department of Transportation will install new poles north and south bound on Interstate 85 (I-85) in Franklin County on Monday and Tuesday nights.
This work will mean intermittent single lane closures through Wednesday morning, March 29, near the North Fairview Road overpass over I-85.
Northbound lane closures will begin Monday, March 27, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Southbound lane closures will begin Tuesday, March 28, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
These poles are a part of the new Weigh-In-Motion upgrades which will allow trucks to be “weighed” while continuing along the mainline.
