A Duluth woman faces several traffic charges after she turned into the path of a Hall County Sheriff's Office patrol car just before 10:30 Wednesday night.

Cpl. Spencer Munger with Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville said Dunia F. Hernandez-Guevara, 34, was driving a Honda Pilot northbound on Queen City Parkway (Ga. 60) in the left turn lane. She attempted to make a left turn onto the I-985 southbound entrance ramp, but she turned in front of a Hall County patrol car traveling southbound on Ga. 60.

"The front driver’s side of the Hall County patrol vehicle struck the front passenger’s side of the gray Honda Pilot," Munger wrote in an email.

Munger said the two deputies and a suspect traveling in the patrol car, as well as Hernandez-Guevara and her three passengers, all were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center's Gainesville campus for medical evaluation. Two juvenile passengers in the Honda Pilot were not wearing seat belts, according to Munger. He said no one received life threatening injuries.

Munger said Hernandez-Guevara was arrested for driving while unlicensed and will face three other traffic-related charges. She also is under an immigration hold, according to arrest reports.

The roadway was closed for approximately 40 minutes while the accident was cleared.
