A Flowery Branch man accused of swindling customers of a tree-cutting business out of their money in North Gwinnett has been arrested.

Andrew Mosley, 22, was taken into custody at a home in Flowery Branch Wednesday night for charges he faces in Gwinnett County, according to Deputy Stephen Wilbanks, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Mosley allegedly stole approximately $9,000 from customers by getting part or full payment upfront for tree-cutting work in the Suwanee area, then never following through with the work.

Gwinnett Police started the investigation on Dec. 1 when victims began to report the alleged crimes. Mosley is said to have operated under the guise of three different tree service companies: B&M Tree Service, Mosley Tree Service and United Tree Service.

Most of the 14 known victims were elderly customers, police said, adding that more victims could be out there.

Mosley is charged with 13 counts of misdemeanor theft by conversion and one felony count of theft by conversion, all in Gwinnett County.

Wilbanks said Mosley faces no additional charges in Hall County.
