Forsyth County authorities have arrested a man in the Monday night death of his estranged wife at a home in the southeastern part of the county.

Authorities were called to the Wyndham Park Subdivision off McGinnis Ferry Road at 6:42 p.m. by residents who saw a suspicious man walking through the neighborhood.

Deputy 1st Class Doug Rainwater with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Zhibin Duan, 51, has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and obstruction of law enforcement in the case.

"We arrived at the subdivision and our deputies did see a male walking down the road - blood all over his clothing - and he was very confrontational with us," Rainwater said. "We had to secure him there for a few moments because he refused to comply with any orders that we were giving him to stand still."

Rainwater said eventually deputies were able to determine Duan's address, and when they went to the home, they found a dead woman inside.

"We are not releasing the name of the female because we are still trying to get in touch with the family members on her side," Rainwater said. He said the family members live out of state.

Rainwater confirmed that the suspect and the victim were married, although the two had not lived together "for awhile."

"We're trying to figure out why she came back," Rainwater said.

Authorities have not released a specific cause of death for the victim, saying only that it appears she died from blunt force.
