In one season at East Jackson, Christian Hunnicutt helped the Eagles to their most wins in a campaign since 2009. And now the coach is headed to Grayson.
According to published reports, Hunnicutt was set to be introduced as the Rams new coach after Jeff Herron left the program following a 2016 season that saw Grayson claim the Class AAAAAAA title.
Hunnicutt led East Jackson to a 4-6 record in 2016, 2-3 in Region 8-AAA. The win total bettered the Eagles' previous four seasons combined.
Hunnicutt served as Grayson's offensive line coach in 2015. He left the Rams to take over at East Jackson, his first head coaching job.
