Four suspects allegedly involved in a chase with Lumpkin County authorities remain in jail, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's Dep. Chris Pfrogner said in a press statement that patrol officers saw a vehicle driving erratically on Ga. Hwy. 115 around 9:25 Monday night. When officer attempted to pull over the driver, he instead sped away.

"The pursuit traveled into White County with speeds exceeding 85 mph," Pfrogner said. "Eventually, the suspect drove through some yards in a subdivision off of Asbury Mill Road in White County. The driver of the vehicle wrecked into a tree within the subdivision, and ran into the surrounding woods."

Pfrogner said there were three passengers in the vehicle; officers immediately arrested them. The driver, identified as Chad Click, 27, was caught after a K9 unit was called to the scene.

The other three passengers were identified as Joshua Gilleland, 28, Joan Martin, 24, and Angel Turpin, 20.  All three men have Hall County addresses, according to Pfrogner.  Martin has a White County address.

Click was charged with DUI/Drugs, fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, driving without a license and other traffic violations. Officers also found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Pfrogner said the Georgia State Patrol assisted with the pursuit and the arrests.
