The Afternoon News Wrap pays a visit to Chestatee Academy to speak with middle school students and teachers about a new program that enforces positive character traits and values among the community's future leaders.

Principal Jennifer Kogod implemented the "keys to character" initiative late last year after having dozens of uncut keys donated that she had engraved with character traits such as inspire, courage, kind, passion, fearless and many others. She then presented each faculty member and teacher with a key best fit to their personality. The staff then was tasked with finding a student with that similar character trait and presenting them with that key.

Students that receive a "character key" then pass it along to a classmate with a similar trait.

Several students and teachers explain to Russell Brown why the keys, and the stories behind them, are so special.
