Burton, LaJoie top early CRA SpeedFest 2018 entries

Champion Racing Association officials have announced the first group of entries that have arrived for the upcoming CRA SpeedFest 2018. The event is set for January 27-28 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia.

CRA SpeedFest 2018 will consist of a 200 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Model special non-points event and a 125 lap JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Model special non-points event.

Defending ARCA/CRA Super Series SpeedFest 200 event winner Harrison Burton is entered to defend last season’s win in the Super Late Model event. He will be joined by Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competitor Corey LaJoie, who is entered to compete in his first CRA SpeedFest event.

Also slated to compete is Florida native Steve Dorer, who will compete in both the Suepr Late Model and Pro Late Model races, along Jack Dossey III.

NASCAR K & N Pro Series East competitor Chase Purdy is entered in the Super Late Model race, as is Southern Super Series competitor Connor Okrzesik. The John Coffman Racing Team has three cars entered for the Super Late Model race for Coffman, Jeff Firestine and former Watermelon Capital Speedway Late Model Champion Stuart Dutton.

Former Watermelon Capital Speedway Late Model Champion Chris Dilbeck is entered for Pro Late Model race, along with Alabama’s Justin South and Michigan’s Chris Koslek.
