Hall County EMA: Lots of work to do

Posted 12:27AM on Saturday 9th December 2017 ( 6 years ago )

Authorities say there is a lot of work to do in Hall County to clean up after the snow.

Hall County Interim EMA Director Casey Ramsey tells AccessWDUN it was a big help that many schools and businesses closed early. He says the snow has hampered many roadways, but not all.

"We do have a lot of roadways that have become impassable," Ramsey says. "Those are going to be our secondary roadways. Most of the main roads have been well traveled."

Ramsey says even when the sun comes out and everything looks safe, it is best stay home unless you need to be out. He says crews will be working around the clock to get roads cleared before the snow converts to ice.

Traffic slows on GA400 on exit 16/Pilgrim Mill Rd.
