DAHLONEGA — Coming off of a run into the ITA Oracle Cup, University of North Georgia tennis players Holly Bennett and Felicia Baratta are the top ranked doubles team in the Southeast Region and the seventh-ranked doubles team in the nation as announced by the ITA in late November. Baratta is also ranked nationally in singles, while Ryan Gaskin is ranked in the Southeast Region.

Bennett and Baratta finished seventh in the ITA Oracle Cup after winning the Southeast Regional in September. After two very competitive matches against the second- and third-ranked doubles teams in the draw, the Nighthawk duo defeated a doubles team from the University of Charleston, 7-6 (4), 6-2.

Baratta also came in the rankings as a singles player at No. 41 in the nation and No. 9 in the region. On the men's side, Ryan Gaskin was ranked 10th in the Southeast Region.

The ITA's rankings for teams will be released just before the start of the spring season on January 17, 2018. The Nighthawks take the courts for first serve on February 3 at Belmont Abbey, which is set for a 9 a.m. start for both the men and the women.
