One day after the Hall County Sheriff's Office announced it would not pursue criminal charges against the county's fired EMA director, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department made a similar announcement.

Information about the case involving David Kimbrell had been sent to investigators in the coastal police department, although Hall County did not say why.

Cpl. Hillary Neilsen, the Public Information Officer for the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, issued a very brief email statement.

"No charges are forthcoming from our agency at this time," Neilsen wrote.

Kimbrell was fired on Oct. 26 after a questionable video showed up on his county-issued computer.  After his termination, Kimbrell said the video was on a his personal computer, which was backed up to the county computer.
