Forsyth County authorities offer precincts for safer e-commerce

Posted 11:00AM on Saturday 2nd December 2017 ( 6 years ago )
A Tuesday night armed robbery prompted a reminder from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on safer e-commerce transactions.

The robbery happened when a Forsyth County man tried to sell his motorcycle on Craigslist, according to a sheriff's office Facebook post.

"Unknowing to him, the white male and black male who answered the ad. at his house only had one intention, stealing the motorcycle at gunpoint, which they did," authorities stated.

The sheriff's office has precincts on Keith Bridge Road and Ronald Reagan Blvd. on the north and south ends of the county.  According to the post, the locations are great for completing online transactions.

"Please communicate with the perspective buyers that you are meeting at a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office precinct.  This should take care of those who may want to take your stuff for free."

Tuesday's robbery happened at 10:00 p.m.  Deputies did not offer further details.
