ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Hawks center Dewayne Dedmon is expected to miss three-to-six weeks with an injured left leg.
The team announced Wednesday that Dedmon underwent an MRI that revealed a tibia stress reaction.
Dedmon has played all 20 games in his first season with the rebuilding Hawks, averaging 11.1 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds.
The injury isn't believed to be related to a specific incident. Dedmon underwent the MRI after complaining recently of shin pain.
Atlanta (4-16) hosts the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
