Gainesville High senior Brody Simmons finished second with a two-day total of 171 in the 16-18 age group and won Player of the Year at the Athens Area Junior Golf GNSCS Tour Championship Nov. 11-12 at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro.
Gainesville sophomore Zayne Hilderbrand finished first with a total of 162 in the 14-15 age group and also won Player of the Year
