A Gainesville man is facing multiple charges in connection to an alleged case of rape and child molestation that occurred on Shope Road on May 1.
Deveccho Tyquan Waller, 18, is charged with rape, child molestation and aggravated child molestation for allegedly molesting a minor, according to Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
Waller was taken into custody on Wednesday, and at last report was awaiting a first court appearance.
The victim, who is female, was 11 years old at the time of the crime.
Ware was unsure if Waller and the victim were known to one another.
