DAWSONVILLE — Sevaughn Clark looked right at home in the postseason on Friday -- and so did Dawson County football.

The Tigers sprinted away from a nip-and-tuck start to post a 49-14 win over Hart County in the first round of the Class AAA bracket -- and Clark was at the heart of the explosion, rushing for 276 yards and three touchdowns.

Coey Watson also did his usual damage, as the senior quarterback rushed for 78 yards and three scores while also completing 9 of 13 passes for 131 yards and a score.

The Tigers (8-3) will now get a shot at a top 10 team, as they travel to face No. 2-ranked Cedar Grove in the second round.

Dawson County flashed most of its offensive firepower starting in the second half on Friday, as they edged ahead 19-7 at the half -- the Tigers trailed 7-6 after the first quarter -- and then ripped off 30 points following the interval, including touchdown runs of 23 and 79 yards for Clark.

Ryan Glass caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown for Dawson in the win, as the Tigers moved out of the first round for the second time in three campaigns.
