Investigators have obtained aggravated assault warrants for a Gainesville woman in connection with a Monday afternoon shooting on Mill Street, police said.

Authorities are looking for Leondra Shenell Williams, 34.

"Leondra is still believed to be armed with a handgun," Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email.  "Leondra should be considered armed and dangerous."

Two people suffered gunshot wounds during the incident that unfolded at roughly 1:00 p.m. at the location in Gainesville's Newtown area.

Police identified the victims as Nykita Young, 30 and Joyce Young, 25.  Holbrook said they were both treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and later released.

Officers described Williams as a black woman, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 183 pounds.

Police asked that anyone with information on her whereabouts call 911.
