Hall County EMA director dismissed for policy violations

Posted 6:53PM on Monday 30th October 2017 ( 6 years ago )
Hall County Emergency Management Director David Kimbrell has been terminated from his job.

Kimbrell was fired last Thursday. County spokeswoman Katie Crumley said the county conducted an investigation, and information from that investigation pointed to a violation of county policy.

Crumley said the results of the inquiry were turned over to Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing.  He declined to release further details.

Kimbrell had been emergency management director since 2014.  Over the years, he had served as a firefighter, fire marshal and fire chief in the county.

Calls placed to Kimbrell by AccessWDUN were not immediately returned.
