The director of the 4-H Center in Lumpkin County is charged with possessing child pornography following his Thursday arrest.

Paul Travis Williams, 48, was arrested following a nearly month-long investigation by the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, UGA Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, according to a media release from sheriff's Lt. Alan Roach.

Investigators said a cyber tip relating to suspected child pornography being uploaded from inside the camp led to the September 15 execution of a search warrant.

"The search included 17 Cloverleaf Trail, the residence of the Director of the 4-H Center, Paul Travis Williams a 48-year-old male," authorities stated in the release.  "Located in the residence of Mr. Williams was a hard drive that contained one of the uploaded images of suspected child pornography."

Authorities on Thursday said the investigation was continuing.
