Nate: Weather service cancels all watches, warnings for Georgia

Hurricane Nate's "bark" was apparently much worse than his "bite" - at least as far as Georgia is concerned.

The National Weather Service has canceled all Tropical Storm Watches and Warnings for the state. A Flash Flood Watch and Wind Advisory have also been cancelled.

Forecasters revised their outlook in a statement issued just before 11:00 Sunday morning.

Here is the text of that statement:

Though there remains the possibility of Nate has now weakened to a Tropical Depression, resulting in the cancellation of all Tropical Storm Warnings across the area. There remains a low threat of flooding and tornadoes for the next several hours as well as low end wind gusts. A Wind Advisory and Flash Flood Watch are in effect for portions of north Georgia.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* WIND:

Little to no additional wind impacts expected.

* FLOODING RAIN:

Additional impacts from flooding resulting from high rainfall and resulting runoff are still a concern across north Georgia, generally north of a line from Carrollton to Canton to Homer. Remain alert to

changing conditions in your area, and new warnings and advisories indicating heavy rainfall and flooding.

* TORNADOES:

Additional impacts from tornadoes are still a concern across north and central Georgia. Remain alert to changing conditions, particularly in bands of convection as Tropical Depression Nate continues to impact the area.
