Posted 9:51AM on Friday 6th October 2017 ( 6 years ago )
Habitat for Humanity of Hall County has a new executive director on board.  The organization's board of directors recently named Drew Meyer to fill the position.

Meyer started with Habitat for Humanity International in 2010, as senior director for gifts in kind and ReStore support, according to a media release.

"We are very fortunate to have Drew assume this position. His 20 years of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and experience at Habitat International will propel the future of this affiliate by continuing our mission of providing affordable housing in our community," Thom Price, president of the board of directors, said,

Meyer became senior director of the ReStore Operating Group in 2012.  Meyer and his team started a pilot program to develop, build and operate ReStores for Habitat for Humanity International in Greater Atlanta.

"I have a strong belief that it is our Christian responsibility to extend a helping hand up to people who need one in our community," Meyer said. "Habitat's work of providing decent affordable housing is needed now more than ever. I feel extremely blessed to assume this new role and I look forward to working closely with the board, staff, volunteers and the community to grow this vital ministry."

Meyer takes over for Tim Williams who took a position in the private sector in August.  Williams continues to serve on the local Habitat board.
