ATHENS — The Flowery Branch girls volleyball team closed out its Area 8-AAAAA season with sweep of Cedar Shoals Tuesday on the road.
The Lady Falcons (16-8, 3-3 Area 8-AAAAA) won 25-17 and 25-12 behind the play of senior libero Ellie Luciani, who had 19 digs, 2 assists, and 4 aces. Senior middle blocker Anna Marshall had 7 kills and 1 solo block and junior outside hitter Ashley Scott added 6 kills, 6 aces, and 7 digs for Flowery Branch.
The Lady Falcons next will travel to Loganville on Saturday in the Area Tournament.
