A suspect who was wanted by the Dawson County Sheriff's Office was found dead Saturday from an apparent gunshot wound in Gilmer County.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was found in a structure after a "situation" in the Rich Mountain Wilderness Area according to a release from the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office.
The release said the suspect was wanted on a charge of aggravated assault. No further details about the case have been made available.
