No one had to be transported but troopers with the Georgia State Patrol said the driver of an auto transporter was charged with failure to yield after an accident on Candler Road that blocked traffic for an hour.

According to troopers, the auto transporter was westbound, exiting a private drive at 2125 Candler Road and turned in front of a Mack dumptruck on the the roadways heading southbound.

The front driver's side of the dumptruck struck the right side of the transporter.

Troopers said the dumptruck exited the road and landed on the shoulder, while the transporter came to an uncontroled rest facing south on the roadway, blocking both south- and northbound traffic.

Ronnie Motte, 52, of Broussard, LA, was charged with failure to yield while entering the roadway.
