Girls basketball: Caudell hits game-winner to complete Chestatee comeback

ROSWELL — Lindsey Caudell sank the winning basket with just four seconds remaining to lift the Chestatee girls basketball team past Blessed Trinity on Tuesday night in Roswell.

Caudell's pulled up at the foul line to drop the winning basket, finishing with 22 points to help the Lady War Eagles (17-3, 3-0) complete a comeback win.

Chestatee trailed 14-5 after the first quarter and 30-21 at the half but began chipping away in the third quarter, pulling with 43-41 at the start of the fourth.

Peri Satterfield also scored 14 points for the Lady War Eagles, while Brooklyn Popham added 12 points.

Chestatee travels to face West Hall at 7 p.m. Friday in another big region showdown.
