GAINESVILLE — The Chestatee girls scored 38 points on Thursday night -- and Lindsey Caudell was responsible for 24 of them.
Caudell's efforts proved enough to lead the Lady War Eagles over Marist, 38-31 in Gainesville.
Playing a night early due to incoming inclement weather, Chestatee (16-3, 2-0 Region 7-AAAA) also clamped down on defense to seal the win -- especially late. The Lady War Eagles held Marist to just two fourth quarter points.
Peri Satterfield also scored five for Chestatee.
The Lady War Eagles play again on Tuesday at Blessed Trinity in Roswell.
MARIST BOYS 44,

Cameron Gwyn scored 10 points to lead the War Eagles, but Chestatee could not pull off the win at home on Thursday.
