BUFORD — Buford volleyball honored four seniors -- Gabby Curry, Taylor Garrison, Jamie Hay, and Morgan Mitchell -- on Thursday in its final regular season match and sent the players out in style, sweeping Athens Academy and South Forsyth.
The Lady Wolves (33-4) defeated Athens Academy 25-8, 25-12. Tatum Shipes led with 13 kills. Mitchell played a smart game and had 24 assists.
Buford took out South Forsyth 25-15, 25-18. Curry led the offense with 9 kills and added a team high 13 digs. Mitchell had 24 assists in this match as well.
Buford will begin play in the 8-AAAAA tournament at Clarke Central on Tuesday.
