CLEVELAND — The Truett McConnell men's soccer team fell to one of the top teams in the country, Tennessee Wesleyan, 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon. TMU is now 4-5 and 1-3 in league play.

TMU outshot the Bulldogs in the first half, 6-4, as both teams were held scoreless through 45 minutes.

The tie was broken in the 54th minute as Tennessee Wesleyan's OT Bah took a rebound and put it in the back of the net to put the Bulldogs up, 1-0.

As the Bears were throwing men forward to look for the equalizer, TWU was able to find another goal in a one-on-one situation with the Bears' keeper to put the game at its final score.

Tennessee Wesleyan had 12 corner kicks in the match to Truett McConnell's one.

The Bears will look to rebound from the loss on Saturday as Bluefield comes to Cleveland for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff at the TMU Soccer Complex.
