DAHLONEGA — The University of North Georgia men's soccer team put eight shots on goal but were ultimately never able to crack through as King University (Tenn.) snuck away with 1-0 victory on a second half goal. The Nighthawks slip to 3-4 on the season after the tough defeat.

UNG goalkeeper Michael Samnick deprived the Tornado of a golden opportunity in the 15th minute as King was awarded a penalty kick but the Nighthawk keeper came up with a huge save as Samnick guessed correctly with a dive to the far left side denying Ryan Murphy of scoring.

Luis Calderon was able to finally break through for KU in the 65-th as he took a pass from Chris Hicks on the other side of the box and then placed his shot perfectly to the far post to cross-up Samnick and score the game-winning goal.
