A convicted sex offended who authorities said failed to register was arrested by Hall County Sheriff's Deputies, authorities said Friday.

Moroco Devon Rivers, 28, was arrested without incident Thursday in Douglas County for failing to register in Hall County as a convicted sex offender, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.

Ware said Rivers had failed to report his move to Columbus.

"Rivers' original charge was child molestation which occurred in Douglas County on March, 17, 2006. He was convicted of that offense on August 8, 2009," Ware wrote in a media release.

Rivers is charged with violation of the sex offender registry.  He remained in the Hall County Jail early Friday afternoon.
