A missing Hall County girl, believed to be traveling with her biological father and his girlfriend, has apparently been spotted in Cartersville, officials said Tuesday.

Brooklyn Smith, 12, is believed to be in danger, and is said to be traveling in a vehicle towing a camper, according to Hall County Sheriff's Deputies.

She is reportedly with Steven Keith Spires, 31, and Carmen Clay, 19. Spires has known contacts in Dawson, Fulton, Butts, Spalding and Bartow counties, said Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Stephen Wilbanks in a phone interview.

The trio was apparently spotted Monday in Cartersville, though authorities aren't sure what direction they might be headed.

Spires has an active warrant out for his arrest for interference with custody.

Smith went missing July 27, when her mother witnessed her get into a dark colored passenger car, possibly an early model Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call 911 immediately.
