GAINESVILLE - A traffic stop Friday led to the arrest of a man a woman from Gainesville on drug charges after the officer became suspicious that the driver might be DUI or impaired otherwise.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook says Jonathan David Barnes, 32, and Heather Marie Burg, 39, both from a Dawsonville Highway address in Gainesville, were taken into custody after officers decided to search their vehicle and discovered 15-ounces of methamphetamin.

"Oddly enough (the meth was) located in Batman Ziploc bags," Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said.

Those bags, "were located in a Batman back pack in the vehicle, something that we typically don't see," Holbrook said. "It did bring suspicion, even further."

Both Barnes and Burg were booked into the Hall County Jail and charged with possession of and intent to distribute the drug.
