The Hall County Sheriff's Office went public Friday with photos and a description of a missing 12-year-old girl in hopes someone can offer information on her whereabouts.

"She is considered to be at risk and believed to be in the metro Atlanta area," a media release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office stated.

Investigators were referring to Brooklyn Smith, 12, who has been missing since Wednesday.

"Smith was last seen at her residence in Hall County by her mother getting into a black or dark colored passenger car, possibly an early model Ford Taurus, at 2:28 a.m. on July 27."

Authorities described Smith as 5 feet 2 inches tall and 100 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
