One driver killed, second driver hurt in Braselton area crash

Authorities were trying to notify family members before releasing the name of a driver killed in a Braselton-area traffic accident Tuesday afternoon.
 
The crash happened shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Winder Highway near J.J. Lott Road, Georgia State Patrol Corporal J.S. Munger wrote in an email.
 
The driver of a Honda Civic was headed east on Winder Highway and crossed the centerline, according Munger.  The Civic collided with a Honda Accord being driven by Tina Rachelle Moore, 54, of Flowery Branch.
 
"Moore was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville with non-life-threatening injuries," Munger wrote.
 
The driver of the Civic died at the scene 
 
There was one passenger involved in the wreck.  Munger said he wasn't injured.
