Child sexual abuse is a sobering topic, but it's especially concerning when you realize that Hall County ranks 5th of all counties in Georgia in the number of confirmed child sexual abuse reports.

An agency called Adults Protecting Children, Inc. is working to combat such abuse with a training initiative to teach adults how to recognize abuse cases and to take action when those cases come to light.

Steve Collins is the executive director of the agency and talked Friday with WDUN's B.J. Williams about the Hall County Sheriff's Office attaining the "Partner in Prevention" designation, a first for law enforcement agencies in the Northeast Georgia area.
