Dale Thurman drove to his second victory of the season in the Super Late Model feature Saturday night at Dixie Speedway, as the Woodstock, Ga. raceway celebrated its 47th anniversary.

Thurman took the lead at the drop of the green flag and held a considerable lead early on. But as the laps wore down, he found himself working to hold off a fast Johnny Chastain. In the end, Chastain would run out of laps and Thurman took the win.

Luther Jenkins followed in third with Justin Shipley in fourth. The Steel Head Late Model drivers were given the option for the first time since the 1980s to run with the SLM cars, with Jason Smith represented the division well with a fifth place finish.

Jason Smith led the way in the Steel Head Late Model feature, going flag to flag for the win over Chris Sizemore in second, Chuck Padgett in third, Scott Hall in fourth and Ronnie Haynes in fifth.

University of Georgia student Hunter Jones held off brother Jake Jones for the win in the Crate Late Model feature. David Burtz survived a few mishaps to finish third ahead of Jimmy Price in fourth and Jason Morris in fifth.

Daniel Brewer beat out his father, Alan Brewer, for the win in the Super Bomber feature. Jerry Fowler finished in third, with Richard Goode in fourth and Donny Thurman in fifth.

After several attempts at starting the Economy Bomber feature, Eric Hamby took control and at one time had a straightaway lead as Ryan Ray and Kyle Beavers battled side by side for second. Ray took the position and chased down the leader, finally catching him and threatening to take the lead whena caution flew.

Hamby took the lead at the restart, but Ray made his move with two laps to go to take the lead. Ray then spun out in turn two bringing out the caution. Hamby went on to win, with Corey Wright, John Davis, Dalton Polston and Billy Dean rounding out the top five.

Michael Karp took his first win in the Street Stingers leading the way ahead of Brian Cosier in second, Shane Gooden in third, Brian Dempsey in fourth and Randy Ledford in fifth.
