Students in Lakeview Academy’s 2016 graduating class recently accepted their diplomas, marking the end of their high school careers. The 53 graduated seniors are headed to college as the recipients of more than $4.7 million in non-Hope scholarships.

“We are incredibly proud of this group of students,” said Dr. John Kennedy, Lakeview Academy Head of School. “This class embodies Lakeview’s commitment to prepare students to succeed in life, and their success is showcased through their scholarship awards and college acceptances.”

Scholarship offers include merit-based scholarships, awards for citizenship and leadership, awards for achievements in activities such as arts and athletics, and scholarships to further their knowledge through research or a specific field of study.

“Lakeview Academy has instilled in me a diligence and yearning for knowledge that has allowed me to develop and pursue my academic interest,” said Emma Reinhardt, the 2016 Lakeview Academy valedictorian. “Committed teachers, small class sizes and a rigorous curriculum all helped me find success in my college search.”
